/ CAFOD Lent Appeal – Family Fast Day 2nd collection this Sunday Please donate to our Family Fast Day parish collection and be a pilgrim of hope with CAFOD this Jubilee Year. You’ll be supporting communities suffering the impacts of war, poverty and climate change to find solutions and hope. Please give today using the envelope including filling in the Gift Aid section if a UK tax payer or through the contactless machines/card readers at the back of the church, otherwise you can donate online at cafod.org.uk/envelope or call us on 0303 303 3030. You can also text CAFODLENT to 70085 to donate £10. And please join us in praying for these communities.
/ CAFOD – Overseas Aid Budget: As mentioned, the Prime Minister has announced that the aid budget will be cut again, to its lowest level since 1999. In some of the most vulnerable places on earth, more people will die and many more will lose their livelihoods. Please contact your MP and call on the UK government to stand by our sisters and brothers around the world https://cafod.org.uk/campaign/latest-campaigns
/ Parish projects we are approaching the end of our financial support to our present parish projects. We are now looking for new projects. At present we have overseas projects in Jamaica & Africa, does anyone know of a project in South East Asia? We also need some local or national projects to support. If anyone knows of any that could be considered please contact a member of the Justice & Peace Group.
/ SHOUT Helps those who are really struggling to feed their families and the homeless. If you can spare an extra item from your shopping, please donate it to SHOUT Worthing Soup Kitchen
There are boxes for food donations at the church entrances of St Mary of the Angels. Holy Family also support a similar charity
/ Message from Fr Silvester This is to confirm that today I have been able to purchase a brand new delivery / maternity bed for our health centre. This is going to replace the old one that did not meet the standard specifications according to our midwife. We hope that this new bed will serve our expectant mothers for the next 20 years or so!!. Pleases Send our sincere thanks to the Fr Terry and Parishioners of LANCING for this critical support.
