1/ No Mow May is here – let’s give power to the flowers!
Approximately 97% of flower-rich meadows have been lost since the 1930s, and with them, vital food and habitat needed by wildlife. So to give nature the boost it deserves, Plantlife’s No Mow May campaign urges everyone to pack away the lawnmower and let the wildflowers grow freely! Whether you’re in a town or the countryside, it’s super easy to take part. No lawn is too small! Even the smallest wild patch can provide vital food needed by bees and butterflies, connecting us with nature and giving nature the best start to summer.
Join in by letting the wildflowers grow and be part of the No Mow Movement:

2/ Green Christian is a group of ordinary Christians from all backgrounds and traditions. Inspired by our faith, we care for creation through prayer, action and encouragement. The parish have membership & there’s magazines available at both churches https://greenchristian.org.uk/
3/ LIVE SIMPLY Tip of the Week Plant for our precious busy bees. Bees & insects are crucial to our environment because they pollinate plants & provide the best pest control for plants. Get in your garden this spring& plant bee-friendly flowers such as sunflowers, heather & hellebores or give the children the job. If every garden in Worthing & Lancing did this we could provide a super highway for insects from the sea to the downs.
4/ SHOUT Helps those who are really struggling to feed their families and the homeless. If you can spare an extra item from your shopping, please donate it to SHOUT Worthing – Soup Kitchen
There are boxes for food donations at the church entrances of St Mary of the Angels. Holy Family also support a similar charity
