2/ LIVE SIMPLY Tip of the Week Save energy with ‘sit boiling’ To save energy while you cook, try ‘sit boiling’ for veg, pasta or rice. Cook on full heat for a few minutes, remove from the hob but keep covered with close fitting lid, and leave to finish cooking in the hot water. Experiment a bit to get your timings right. 3/ From CAFOD Over 17,000 children have been killed in Gaza. Famine is closing in. Hospitals lie in ruins. And life-saving aid is stuck at the border.
This is not just a humanitarian crisis – it’s the systematic erosion of what makes us human.
The UK government is right to condemn Israel’s current actions in Gaza and suspend trade negotiations with Israel. But this is far too little.
Please tell your MP that the UK government must take bolder and more decisive action https://cafod.org.uk/campaign/latest-campaigns
