A New Bishop for the Diocese of Arundel & Brighton

With great joy and gratitude, we welcome the announcement that the Holy Father, Pope Leo XIV, has appointed Father Stephen Wang as the Bishop-elect of the Diocese of Arundel & Brighton.Bishop-elect Stephen is currently Rector of the Venerable English College in Rome and has served the Church with distinction in parish ministry, seminary formation, university chaplaincy and evangelisation. He is widely known for his inspiring preaching, pastoral care, and the development of the Sycamore faith formation programme.His Episcopal Ordination and Installation are expected to take place in October, when he will formally begin his ministry as the sixth Bishop of our Diocese.Please keep Bishop-elect Stephen in your prayers as he prepares for this important ministry. Welcome to the Catholic Parish of Worthing and Lancing. Our parish, in the diocese of Arundel and Brighton, was formed in 2021 from the co-joining of the parishes of Lancing and St Mary of the Angels, Worthing.

Our parish is a community of faith and we believe in the love and forgiveness of God and spread the ‘Good News’ among those we meet.

Holy Family, Lancing

Holy Family, Lancing is the warm heart of a faithful, welcoming Catholic community. The church was formed in 1970, the fruit of the work and devotion of a number of Lancing Catholic families built to serve an increasing congregation now overspilling the bounds of the old Chapel of St Paulinus.
