5/ Live Simply Tip of the week Soothe coughs naturally, for a cheaper and natural alternative to shop-bought cough medicine, soothe sore throats with an infusion of organic honey and lemon in hot water. The honey will relieve irritation and has valuable antimicrobial properties.
6/ Parish Project St Matins Mission – Dominican Friars work among the poor & suffering in Jamaica For over a century, English Dominicans have been serving in the Church in the Caribbean in parishes, schools, chaplaincies, seminaries, and caring for the poor and oppressed. Our Province’s work in the Caribbean is supported by fundraising in the United Kingdom through the St Martin’s Mission fund, for which friars of the Province raise money chiefly through appeals in diocesan parishes.
Our Parish tithed £1500 from the weekly collection to help them earlier. More information about them can be seen on their website St Martin’s Missions: Supporting Our Work in Grenada & Jamaica – The Dominican Friars in Britain or you can pick up a prayer card & leaflet at both churches
