1/ Fr Silvester – Collection of items for School Children in Uganda Donations of school materials required are pens, pencils, geometry sets, notepads, small exercise books, writing paper & plus tooth brushes Also used backpacks, shoes & school uniforms. All for children from aged 3 to 14yrs. Please leave at the back of the church both ends. Thank you

2/ LIVE SIMPLY Tip of the Week – Have far fewer toys in your house. Toys are just a small (barely necessary) part of what it takes to encourage a childhood filled with wonder. The 3 essential ingredients are: 1) a cosy place to read 2) a fun place to create/build and 3) an outdoor place for physical play.

3/ The United Nations Development Goals –The 2030 Agenda for Sustainable Development, Goal 7 Ensure access to affordable, reliable, sustainable and modern energy for all
7.1 By 2030, ensure universal access to affordable, reliable and modern energy services
7.2 By 2030, increase substantially the share of renewable energy in the global energy mix
7.3 By 2030, double the global rate of improvement in energy efficiency
7.a By 2030, enhance international cooperation to facilitate access to clean energy research and technology, including renewable energy, energy efficiency and advanced and cleaner fossil-fuel technology, and promote investment in energy infrastructure and clean energy technology
7.b By 2030, expand infrastructure and upgrade technology for supplying modern and sustainable energy services for all in developing countries, in particular least developed countries, small island developing States, and land-locked developing countries, in accordance with their respective programmes of support

4/ CAFOD Fix the Food System Thanks to those who signed the letter demanding the World Bank to end all policies that restrict farmers’ freedoms to choose which seeds they use to grow food. 5/ Season of Creation Let Justice & Peace Flow Are you ready to experience the https://seasonofcreation.org/ We are approaching the ecumenical season that invites us to contemplate God’s creation as sisters and brothers, this year especially praying that “justice and peace may flow” like a “mighty river”.

As the people of God, we must work together on behalf of all Creation, as part of that mighty river of peace and justice.
