1/ CAFOD Family Fast Day Appeal – The Harvest 2nd Collection will be this Sun 8th Oct.  Dr Nasha’s mobile medical clinic gets life-saving help to where it’s needed most, fast – so when her team arrived in Meera’s village in Pakistan after it had been destroyed by flooding, Meera rushed to the clinic to get her children the treatment they needed. Please place your envelope (fill in the gift aid section if a tax payer) in the baskets at the exit doors. You can also donate on the CAFOD website or from the card machines each end of the church




2/ Former Prime Minister Gordon Brown now UN Envoy for Global Education and WHO Ambassador for Global Health Financing said  “Rich Petro-States should pay $25 billion “”Global Windfall Levy” to help poorer nations in the fight against climate change. The Levy would help kick-start a wider agreement for a $1 trillion climate finance fund to support the Global South”.




3/ Live Simply Tip of the Week Take a walk in green spaces. For example, a local park. Get creative. Draw or paint animals or nature scenes, or let them inspire a poem or song lyrics. If you enjoy writing in a journal, try doing this outside



4/ After a few weeks break we’re back with The United Nations Development GoalsThe 2030 Agenda for Sustainable Development.   Goal 9  Build resilient infrastructure, promote inclusive and sustainable industrialization and foster innovation  By 2030, upgrade infrastructure and retrofit industries to make them sustainable, with increased resource-use efficiency and greater adoption of clean and environmentally sound technologies and industrial processes, with all countries taking action in accordance with their respective capabilities.
