CAFOD – The Big One There will be a big day of climate action on Friday 21 April. As part of wider events, CAFOD is working with Christian Aid and Tearfund to plan a gathering that will start at 11am at St John’s church in Waterloo, starting with a service and then processing to Parliament Square. Fr Silvester from the 2nd collection a few weeks ago the new tank has arrived that will store the rainwater. Fr Silvester sent the following message. “The tank is very good and strong. The hard plastic can last a very long time. Everyone here is ecstatic about it. I will update after installation”.
Parish Projects for 22/23 £100/week will be tithed from the weekly collections. So far £1,000 will go to SHOUT local Homeless/Austerity project Worthing Soup Kitchen plus £900 to CAFOD Medical Out reach Team https://worldgifts.cafod.org.uk/collections/frontpage/products/medical-outreach-team Further projects to be decided at the next Justice & Peace meeting.
