1/ Season of Creation 1st Sept to 4th Oct www.seasonofcreation.org  mobilises churches, faith based organisations & communities worldwide to respond to the ecological crisis.  Activities include prayer & worship, community action, education & public engagement.

The theme this year is LIVING WATER. Please see the display about the charity ‘Water Aid’ at carpark end at St Mary’s & at Lancing which has information pamphlets & leaflets to take away on their work in developing countries & ways in which we can support them. Please stop & ensure you sign their petition cards calling especially for clean water at Health Centres to prevent new born deaths.

2/ Help us Shape our Plans Councils across West Sussex are inviting residents and people who work in the county to have their say on new draft plans to tackle climate change and prepare for its impacts.

The plans cover reducing carbon emissions from areas such as transport, homes and businesses, as well as adapting to risks including heatwaves and flooding. Proposed actions include improving energy efficiency, supporting greener travel and community energy, and increasing sustainable drainage.
